Running Groups of Los Angeles

Nike Run Club

Ahhh swoosh! I love NRC! I run with Nike a lot throughout the week. Nike helped me get comfortable with running longer distances. They usually offer 3, 5, 7 mile courses for their "home runs". I had to be brave and take the jump to try the longer runs, and once I started I haven't stopped since! Nike always has fun promotional events (one time I worked out next to Elie Goulding!). They are super organized and make sure we stay safe. The coaches and pacers always take such good care of us. My favorite thing after is the foam rollers, yoga mats, and bars they provide for free! They offer speed runs, train runs, and distance runs all over the city to switch it up.

[R]undalay™

Can't stop, wont stop! #doitfortherun

Monday Rundalay has such a special place in my heart. This was my first run group. When I first came out to Rundalay I was so scared of running a 5k because I had only done one race prior. My pace was pretty slow too! Running with the coolest sweetest people in the streets of DTLA under the stars every Monday night made me fall in love with running. Eventually I got faster and moved up in pace groups. We always have the best time dressing up for themed runs, giving endless high-fives, taking a million pictures, and cheering every person on with the "hope tunnel" at the end. The runs are held every Monday night at the Grand Park fountain terrace in DTLA at 7:45 pm.

BlacklistLA

BlacklistLA is always my "fix" for when I'm in need of a good long run. Their runs always attract a huge group, especially Monday nights at 10PM. I've never done a Monday run because 10:00 is so late for me! I plan to make it to one of these late night runs one day though. I love going to the few long distance runs they hold every month. We usually ride the metro somewhere and run back. It's such a fun way to see the city!

Mission I'm POSSIBLE

Who are we?! MIP! I believe that we will win! I believe that we will win!

MIP originated in my hometown Las Vegas, NV. They have run chapters allover the country now! MIP is such a cool group reasons being; 1- It is run by the sweetest people, & 2- it combines fitness & fashion (my two biggest passions!). Every time I've ran with MIP whether it be in Vegas or LA, we always have such a fun time laughing throughout the entire workout. We don't just run, we actually get an intense workout in too! One of my favorite things we do before a run is a prayer circle. It might not be everyone's thing to pray, but I just love this because it makes me so grateful to be surrounded by the presence of positive people who all strive to be the best versions of themselves. Another cool thing we'll sometimes do is hold hands in a giant circle and squat while saying what we're thankful for. You can't stand up until everyone is finished! Talk about bringing the light into Sin City.
